Concordia (Ore.) Edges Berry 2-1 in Overtime
Kaitlin Tebbs
After a scoreless first half, Berry got on the scoreboard first on a goal by senior Viktoria Frost. The score remained 1-0 until Concordia freshman Sarah Saldivar scored in the 72nd minute. That would be the last goal either team would score in regulation or the first overtime period.
It looked like this game was heading to a penalty kick shootout, but Concordia kept their undefeated season alive when sophomore forward Kaitlyn Tebbs put the ball in the net with just over a minute remaining in the second overtime session.
Concordia improves to 21-0-1 on the year while Berry ends their season at 12-8-2.
The Cavaliers will play again at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 against the winner of Cal State San Marcos and Azusa Pacific (Calif.)
