DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The seventh-seeded Fighting Saints of Carroll (Mont.) netted a goal in each half to top No. 11 Point Loma Nazarene (13-6-1) in the final second-round contest of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship on Friday. Carroll improved their record to 17-1-2 and will take on No. Lindsey Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.

Bobbi Allard got the ball on the top left corner of the 18-yard box, cut it back and found Kate Horak at the top of the box. Horak drilled a shot past the outstretched hands of PLNU goalkeeper Grace Lee to the put the Fighting Saints up 1-0.

With 3:28 left on the clock in the first half, Caitlin Footit chased down a ball in the right corner and managed a low cross into the box. After a touch by Becky Torres, Lindsay Bollar pushed the ball through a scrambling Carroll defensive trio to knot the score a 1-1.

Jennie Annicchiarico broke the deadlock in the 76th minute when she took the ball into box, cut it back with her left foot and finished with her right to give the Fighting Saints the win.
