No. 20 Lindsey Wilson Gets Past No. 13 Judson 3-1

Ryan Stewart Records Two Assists in Lindsey Wilson's 3-1 Win Against Judson
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. ; Defending NAIA champion Lindsey Wilson College scored twice in the second half as the No. 20-seeded Blue Raiders got past No. 13 seed Judson College in a first-round match of the 2006 NAIA Men;s Soccer National Championship at Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium Wednesday (Nov. 15).

Lindsey Wilson improved to 12-9-0 and will face No. 4 seed University of Rio Grande in a second-round match Thursday (Nov. 16) at 11 a.m. The Eagles ended their season at 17-4-1.

Tiyselan Shipalane gave Lindsey Wilson the 2-1 lead 2:17 into the second half when he took possession of the ball from 35 yards out and zigzagged through the Judson defense and fired off a shot past Judson netminder Kyle Selph. Carnell Learmond added an insurance goal at the 75:43 mark off an assist from Ryan Stewart, who had two assists in the match.

Lindsey Wilson took a 1-0 lead at the 31:44 mark on a Nathan Jafta goal off a cross sent in from Stewart, who had saved the ball from going out of bounds after a Judson defender cleared Shipalane;s initial shot. Judson leveled the match at 1 when Aaron Craggs fired a shot past goalkeeper Dejan Ondelj into the left corner of the goal.
