''Conducted extensive library searches and wrote a variety of integrated reviews on team performance and training, knowledge elicitation, cognitive task analysis, and distance learning.

PROJECTS:
Academic Partner on the research team for the U.S. Airforce sponsored project: MAP-IT C (Multi-Axis approach to measuring and interpreting team communication). Industry lead: Design Interactive, Inc. Oviedo, FL. August 2006-May 2007. Conducted State-of-the-Art Review of Team Communications research. Applied communication measurement techniques to a United States Marine Corps (USMC) Fire Support Teams (FiST) task. ($100k total)
Member of the research team for the FITS (FAA/ Instructor training standards for the Technologically Advanced Aircraft) project (PI: Frank Ayers). Began working with this team in April 2004. Continued work during the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 academic years. Including:
- Principle investigator for research on the 'Learner Centered Grading' debriefing strategy ($25k). Supervised graduate student performing a literature review on this topic. Developed interview protocol and carried out telephone interviews with Certified Flight Instructors representing a variety of organizations in the United States. Developed a methodology and research protocol to test the debriefing technique. Supervised the data collection process, analyzed data, and developed final paper. (Jan 2006 - Sep2006).
-Researched current practices involved in updating the FAA Practical Test Standards. Developed a new methodology to assess the validity of the FAA Practical Test Standards. Carried out a test of this methodology, and reported results to the FAA.
-Provided consultation in the Task 1 & 2 data collection effort and wrote portions of the final report for that effort.
Principle investigator for the effort 'Simulation-based Training: Applying Lessons Learned in Aviation to Surface transportation modes. Sponsored by the UCF Center for Advanced Transportation Simulation Systems (CATSS). $25K. 12/2004 ' 7/2005. Reviewed literature on this topic, and wrote integrated summary.

''Collaborated with other NAVAIR Orlando scientists to conduct a review of current Digital Debrief Technologies used to train Aircrew Coordination/Crew Resource Management skills. Applied principles of learning, human factors methods, cognitive theory, and instructional design to develop the review criteria and the review protocol. Visited the implementation sites. Discussed the products with the respective parent companies. Evaluated the products. Summarized the results, and presented the results to the sponsor.
''Collaborated with other NAVAIR Orlando scientists to develop the content for a computer based training CD-Rom: Integrated Aircrew Coordination Training. This included applying principles of cognitive and learning theory and instructional design to develop content.
