  1. Are laptop computers available for checkout?

    IT has provided the Hunt Library's Media Services department with laptop computers to circulate to current ERAU staff and faculty. For more information, see Laptop Computers for Staff and Faculty Checkout. [Back to Top]

  2. Can Voyager help me find videos on my topic?

    Yes, it can. Please see our Using Voyager to Find Videos brochure. This brochure is in PDF format so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer in order to view it. [Back to Top]

  3. Does the library have software available for check out?

    Yes. The library has a variety of software titles available for checkout. A list of software is posted at the Circulation Desk as well as information on each program to help you determine which program you need. Due to our licensing agreements, only Daytona Beach staff, faculty, and currently enrolled students may check out IT software. Worldwide students, or any other student designation who does not pay the technology fee, may not check out the IT software. [Back to Top]

  4. How can I use the library's video editing stations?

    Students may make an appointment to work with a Media Services Technician on a video editing station by calling 386-226-6605. Appointments are for two-hour blocks. Curriculum driven projects will take priority over clubs and organizations or other projects. [Back to Top]

  5. How do I search for videos?

    In Voyager, select Basic Search and type in a subject or title. On the next line, type in video? (be sure to include the question mark). This will give you a list of videos by subject or determine if we have a particular title on video. You may also browse videos by their Subject Headings. [Back to Top]

  6. Can ERAU clubs and organizations check out media equipment?

    Only an authorized officer or club member may check out equipment for a 24 hour period. The sponsor or advisor of the club or organization must contact Media Services and fill out the appropriate form. [Back to Top]

  7. How can I get a list of all videos in the library?

    You can get a complete list of videos through Voyager, Hunt Library's online catalog. Select Basic Search, then type in video? and click on the Search button. You may then sort by title, or publication date.

    Alternatively, you may browse the list of video titles (updated quarterly) at DVDs and Videos, A-Z or DVDs and Videos, by Subject. [Back to Top]

  8. How do I download the library's videos onto my iPod or Zune?

    The easiest way to put all of the library's instructional videos on your iPod or Zune is to subscribe to the vodcast (video podcast) feed.

    Subscribe to the Vocast (iPod):

    • Start iTunes and click on Advanced.
    • Click on 'Subscribe to Podcast.'
    • Type in (or copy and paste) the vodcast's URL (http://libraryonline.erau.edu/vodcasts/library.xml).
    • Click on OK.

    Subscribe to the Vodcast (Zune):

    • Start the Zune software and from the Collections view, click on Podcasts.
    • Click on 'Add a podcast.'
    • Type in (or copy and paste) the vodcast's URL (http://libraryonline.erau.edu/vodcasts/library.xml).
    • Click on Subscribe.

    If you prefer, you can also download individual videos rather than subscribing to the vodcast.

    Download a Video (iPod):

    • Right-click on the link to the video in .mp4 format and download it to your hard drive.
    • Start iTunes and navigate to the Movies section of your Library.
    • Click on File > Add File to Library.
    • Browse to the file on your hard drive.
    • Click Open.

    Download a Video (Zune):

    • Right-click on the link to the video in .wmv format and download it to your hard drive.
    • Start the Zune software and go to Settings.
    • In the Videos section of the Collections settings screen, check to be sure that your video is in a folder that the Zune will import from. If it is not, you can add the folder that the video is in.

  9. How far in advance can I request media equipment?

    You may request equipment in advance, but all requests must be received at least 24 hours in advance of need. [Back to Top]

  11. Where can I check out IT software?

    IT software can be checked out at the Circulation Desk. A list of available titles as well as additional information pertaining to each is also available to help you determine which program you need. [Back to Top]

  12. Who can check out media equipment?

    Audiovisual equipment may be borrowed for use at on-campus functions by faculty, staff, and officers of student organizations recognized by Student Activities. Requests for check out of equipment should be made 24-hours in advance of need, and will be filled subject to availability. Equipment is not available for personal use. If equipment is stolen, lost, or damaged, the borrower shall reimburse the library for repair or replacement costs. [Back to Top]
