When Hunt Library receives a request for documents that are not full text in our online databases, we search our collection to determine which ones we own. Once we have located the materials, either microform or print, we scan them and post them to the Web using software called RelaisExpress Plus. You will get an email from eraulibrary@relaisill.com with the subject line Documents from Hunt Library. Direct links to your posted documents are included in this email. [Back to Top]

What is Web Document Delivery?
Web Document Delivery (WDD) is a method for providing requested materials to Worldwide students, faculty and staff by posting them on the web, rather than mailing or emailing them. When a current Worldwide patron requests certain types of documents owned by the Hunt Library, the Worldwide Reference Services department scans the items into PDF format, posts them on the web, and emails the patron instructions for accessing them. The posted documents can be retrieved from any computer with web access. This process allows for quick, efficient delivery of materials to students worldwide.
Web Document Delivery may also be used to provide both Daytona Beach and Worldwide students with documents obtained through Interlibrary Loan. [Back to Top]
Do I need a password to view the documents I receive through Web Document Delivery?
No. You will receive an email with direct links to your documents through Web Document Delivery. If you have problems opening the links from your email, please contact The Hunt Library at 800-678-9428 (United States) or 386-226-7656 (International) (M-F 8am-5pm ET) or email us at

How long will it take for my articles to get posted via Web Document Delivery?
In most cases, your articles will be posted within 2 business days. If you request a large number of documents, we will scan up to 10 items at a time. Your list of requests will then be placed at the end of the scanning queue. We will then continue to scan your remaining items, in groups of 10, until all of your requests have been scanned. We hope this procedure will give everyone a chance to view at least a portion of his or her requested documents in a timely manner. [Back to Top]
How long will my articles remain posted in Web Document Delivery?
They will be posted for 2 weeks. Due to copyright and space restrictions, any documents older than TWO WEEKS will AUTOMATICALLY BE DELETED from the web; therefore, it is highly recommended that you save or print a copy for your own use. If you cannot access your documents within the two week period, please contact The Hunt Library at 800-678-9428 (United States) or 386-226-7656 (International) (M-F 8am-5pm ET) or email us at
library@erau.edu. [Back to Top]
I use more than one email address. Will this be a problem for Web Document Delivery?
Our scanning/posting system will only support ONE email address for each patron. Please let us know which address you would like us to use as your official posting address. We apologize for any inconvenience. [Back to Top]
When I try to open PDF files I've gotten through Web Document Delivery, Adobe Acrobat opens, but I only get blank pages.
The fact that you are getting only blank pages may be due to the way your web browser (Internet Explorer) is set up to open PDF files. Try the following steps to correct the problem:
Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher. You can download and then install the free Acrobat Reader by going to www.adobe.com and following the instructions. For online assistance, consult the Acrobat Support Database at http://www.adobe.com/support/main.html.
Open up the Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Reader may open when you click on the files.
If it does not open, you can open it separately. From the top menu in the Acrobat Reader (not your web browser), click on "Edit," move down to "Preferences," then select "General."
On the lower right-hand side, make sure that "Web browser integration," is NOT checked. Then click on "OK." Now try opening the files again.
If you still get blank pages, please contact The Hunt Library at 800-678-9428 (United States) or 386-226-7656 (International) (M-F 8am-5pm ET) or email us at library@erau.edu and we will see what else we can do to help you. [Back to Top]
