Can I get research help even if I do not attend Embry-Riddle?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide in-depth service to people not affiliated with the university. However, we do have a few web resources that anyone can use.
Go to the Hunt Library's Homepage at http://library.erau.edu and click on "Alumni and Guests."
You may now use any of the resources available on these pages, including Voyager (our online catalog) and the Recommended Websites. After using Voyager to identify items you need, you may go to your local public library and look for the items. If the items are not available, you may ask the public library to obtain them for you through Interlibrary Loan (which typically takes at least a few weeks). Our Recommended Websites provide a structured guide to aviation-related information available on the web. [Back to Top]
Can anyone use the study rooms or are they only available to ERAU students?
The study rooms are intended to be used only by current Embry-Riddle students, faculty, and staff. Alumni, community patrons, and other visitors are welcome to use the individual study carrels, leisure seating, or any other public areas located on all three floors of the library. Please consult the Study Room Use Policy for more detailed information. [Back to Top]
I am not a current student, staff or faculty, but I am working with a current Embry-Riddle affiliate. Can I get access to your electronic databases, like ProQuest or Aerospace and High Technology Database?
No. The electronic databases are restricted to current students, staff, and faculty due to our licensing agreements with the database vendors. [Back to Top]
Who can use the public computers near the Reference area?
All but fifteen of the public computers in the library are available to all of our library patrons, whether or not they are affiliated with ERAU. These computers are set up for searching the Internet only. Fifteen additional computers are available only to patrons with an ERAU network login. The computers requiring a login will give you access to all the ERAU programs and the P:\ and S:\ drives. Please view our Public Access Computer Use Policy for more information. [Back to Top]
